A Family’s Christmas Surprise

A family was left fuming after discovering an X-rated carrot while cooking Christmas dinner. Julie Butler, 53, and dad Tony, 86, were chopping vegetables for their holiday feast on Thursday when they realized the carrot resembled a man’s "meat and two vegetables."

The Discovery

The couple, from Christchurch, Dorset, had bought a bag of carrots for 15p in Tesco on Christmas Eve but didn’t initially notice the rude shape of the vegetable. Julie, who cooked Lobster Thermidor for Tony and her mother, said: “Tesco was selling bags of vegetables for 15p on Christmas Eve. I did some last-minute shopping, but I didn’t realize it until I started cooking.”

A Funny Moment

On Christmas morning, Julie and her father prepared the vegetables together. “Dad saw it for the first time and started laughing. I thought it was so funny. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carrot like that.” The amused family decided not to cook the carrot – and instead displayed it on their mantel alongside their Christmas cards.

A New Family Member

Tony even put an orange on it to give it a “head.” Julie joked that she had originally thought about selling the vegetables on eBay but decided against it. She added: “It’s part of the family now.” The family’s cooking was a treat as they enjoyed a "lovely" dinner in between their giggles. Julie said their Christmas dinner was a special one, with the unusual carrot being a unique addition to their holiday celebration.
