Introduction to Bolt Insight

A former Unilever executive has raised millions of pounds to fund the expansion of his consumer insights platform, Bolt Insight. The platform is used by almost a dozen of the world’s biggest packaged goods companies.

Funding Round

Bolt Insight will announce a £7m funding round led by Pembroke VCT. Pembroke VCT has injected half of the capital, with other investors such as 212, Active Partners, Velocity, and TIBAS Ventures also participating in the round.

The Platform

Bolt Insight’s platform combines AI-powered workflows with human researchers to conduct qualitative studies in a fraction of the usual time. This enables them to engage live with consumers, providing valuable insights for businesses. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Hakan Yurdakul, who spent 14 years at Unilever in brand strategy and transformation, and his co-founder Kerem Turgay, chief technology officer.

Achievements and Expansion

To date, Bolt Insight has surveyed more than 5 million consumers and worked with over 150 brands. The new funding will be used for BoltChatAI’s global expansion, aiming to strengthen its position in a global insights market valued at approximately $153 billion.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Bolt Insight is to bring real consumer voices to the center of business decision-making. Since its launch in 2019, the company has shown that AI can increase the speed and quality of research for the world’s leading brands. According to Hakan Yurdakul, "When we launched Bolt Insight, our mission was to bring real consumer voices to the center of business decision-making. Since then, we have shown that AI can increase the speed and quality of research for the world’s leading brands."

Investment and Partnership

Andrew Wolfson, CEO of Pembroke Investment Managers, praised Bolt Insight, saying, "Bolt Insight is a brilliant example of how AI can drive change in an established industry by putting real consumer voices at the heart of decision-making." This partnership and investment will help Bolt Insight to further achieve its goals and expand its services globally.
