A Tribute to the Prince of Darkness
A British farm honored the legendary Ozzy Osbourne on Halloween by arranging hundreds of home-grown pumpkins and gourds in his image, breaking a world record in the process. The farm, Sunnyfields Farm in Southampton, paid tribute to the late Black Sabbath singer by creating the largest Cucurbita mosaic, according to Guinness World Records.
The Record-Breaking Creation
The over-the-top creation features Ozzy Osbourne in his signature sunglasses and bats flying around him, measuring a staggering 2,281 square feet, roughly the size of a tennis court. The farm’s masterpiece was unveiled with Osbourne’s longtime wife Sharon and their daughter Kelly in attendance.
A Celebration of Ozzy’s Legacy
The farm posted a video about the making of the masterpiece on Instagram, set to Ozzy’s debut hit solo "Crazy Train" and featuring his famous quote "I can’t do anything in moderation" as the caption. Fans of the godfather of heavy metal, who died in July at the age of 76, were amazed by the tribute. Many took to social media to express their admiration, with comments such as "What a tribute to the legend Ozzy!! Unbelievable!!" and "Thank you so much for doing this OZZY FOREVER." Others noted that Ozzy would have likely enjoyed the tribute, saying "Wonderful and I bet Ozzy would have enjoyed it. Maybe…he did."
