BTS Movie Weeks Breaks Box Office Records

BTS Movie Weeks, a collection of four history-making concert films from Korean boy band BTS, has grossed over $10 million at the global box office. This achievement is a testament to the group’s enduring popularity and the anticipation of their return to the music scene.

Global Release and Screenings

The concert films were released in over 80 territories in 2,700 theaters and premiered worldwide from September 24th to October 5th. Screenings will continue this month and into November in South Korea, Vietnam, and Japan, giving fans in these countries a chance to experience the magic of BTS on the big screen.

Upcoming Album and World Tour

In July, BTS confirmed that a full-length album will be released next spring, alongside a world tour. This marks the group’s long-awaited return after going on hiatus in 2022, during which members Jin, Suga, J-hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook reported for mandatory military service in Korea and pursued solo activities.

Distribution and Partnerships

BTS Movie Weeks was distributed worldwide by Trafalgar Releasing, with the exception of South Korea and Japan, where the title was released by Megabox and Avex, respectively. This collaboration is the third between HYBE and Trafalgar Releasing, with previous partnerships including “HYBE Cine Fest In LATAM” in 2024 and “HYBE Cine Fest In Asia” in 2025.

Fan Engagement and Activations

Accompanying the film screenings around the world, cinema foyers featured installations and themed message walls, as well as dance floors and meeting places for BTS fans to gather. Four concert films were shown: BTS’s "On Stage: Epilogue" from 2016, "Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour – The Final" from 2017, "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself – London" from the 2019 world tour, and "Muster Sowoozoo" from 2021.

Reaction from Trafalgar Releasing

Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, expressed excitement about the response to BTS Movie Weeks, stating that it demonstrates the enduring power of BTS and the anticipation of their return. He also highlighted the innovative new ways to create global event cinema experiences, showcasing the group’s ability to bring fans together from around the world.
