Motherhood and Criticism
Although she doesn’t necessarily like public criticism either. For example, when she said in an interview that the youngest child will have been in the schoolyard for almost 25 years by the time she starts first grade. That sometimes it’s tropical years with three children. And that she was often tired when she had another baby at the age of 42.
Honesty and Gratitude
“By that I didn’t mean that I feel like a victim or that I’m ungrateful. I’m actually the first to say how blessed I feel to have been given this chance. I’ve had two miscarriages and I see around me that not everyone is given the chance to have a child. So yeah, people who are sad about this, when they read something like that, they think: You can deal with being ‘tired’. And I get that.”
The Reality of Motherhood
I like to speak from my heart; Why should we have to pretend everything is always rosy? Sometimes motherhood is hard, but that doesn’t mean I’m not overjoyed with my children. People are so hard on each other, especially women on each other. Why for heaven’s sake don’t we form a team anymore?
