Safety Concerns with Stair Gates
Introduction to the Problem
The stair gates did not perform well in several safety tests. For example, the Kinderkraft Lock&GO has come loose from the wall. It also started with a “collision” of 25 kilos. According to consumer advice centers, these shelves must be heavy enough for older siblings. That is not the case now.
Specific Safety Issues
The Kidriver Twist Rollable Traction Gate didn’t do well either. This meant that children could squeeze through the gate and babies could crawl under it. There was even a sharp metal rod sticking out of the net – not exactly child-friendly.
More Gates with Safety Concerns
The Fenss clamp gate bulkhead opened in the various tests and the ADSafety stair gate without drilling also did not perform so well. It turned out that there were seven openings and babies could squeeze through the fence here too.
