Introduction to Paramount Pictures’ New President
Paramount Pictures has named Josh Goldstine as the president of global marketing and distribution, effective immediately. This new role will have Goldstine overseeing the global marketing and distribution operations for Paramount Pictures.
Background and Experience
Goldstine has a wealth of experience in the film industry, having previously worked at Warner Bros. as the president of worldwide marketing until earlier this year. During his time at Warner Bros., he was instrumental in setting up the campaign for the movie Barbie, which grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide in 2023. He also worked on tentpole campaigns for other notable movies, including dune, The Batman, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Wonka.
Previous Roles
Before joining Warner Bros., Goldstine was the head of marketing at Universal Pictures, where he worked on several successful franchises, including Fast and Furious, Jurassic world, Despicable Me, Pitch perfect, and minions. He also spent over two decades at Sony Pictures, including a stint as president of creative advertising, where he led campaigns for notable movies such as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, The social network, Casino Royale, Men in Black, and Groundhog Day.
New Role and Responsibilities
In his new role at Paramount Pictures, Goldstine will report to co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein. The news of his appointment was shared with Paramount employees on Wednesday, October 15. With his extensive experience and successful track record in the film industry, Goldstine is well-positioned to lead Paramount’s global marketing and distribution operations and contribute to the company’s continued success.
