Introduction to Orlando Bloom’s Latest Film

Orlando Bloom’s boxing film will enter the ring with its streaming debut. The film, directed by Sean Ellis, is scheduled to be released on November 1st via Paramount+ after its theatrical release.

The Plot of The Cut

The film centers on an Irish boxer, played by Bloom, who took a job at his hometown gym after his fighting career stalled. When the opportunity arises to prove himself in the ring once again, he takes extreme measures to quickly reduce his weight.

Cast and Crew

Caitríona Balfe, John Turturro, Gary Beadle, and Clare Dunne round out the cast. Ellis directed the film from a screenplay by Justin Bull, with Mark Lane writing the story. Producers include Bloom, Lane, Leonora Darby, James Harris, Adam Karasick, Bret Saxon, and Thomas Fanning.

Orlando Bloom’s Recent and Upcoming Projects

Bloom starred in Amazon MGM Studios’ action comedy earlier this year, Deep Coverage. He will star alongside Pete Davidson and Naomi Scott in David Michôd’s Wizard! Bloom has also expressed his desire to take on challenging roles, saying "I want to burn the barn down with my performance. I’m not afraid of anything anymore. If there’s a role and it scares me because I’m being challenged in some way, then that’s what I want to do."

Release and Reception

The film had a limited theatrical release last month following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024. With its upcoming streaming release, fans will be able to watch The Cut from the comfort of their own homes.
