France Moves Closer to World Cup Qualification

Comfortable Win Over Azerbaijan

France took a significant step towards qualifying for next year’s World Cup with a 3-0 win over Azerbaijan in Group D. The match, played at the Parc des Princes in Paris, saw France dominate from start to finish.

Key Players Shine

Kylian Mbappé, Adrien Rabiot, and Florian Thauvin were among the key players who helped France secure the comfortable victory. Their performances were instrumental in France moving three points closer to World Cup qualification.

Injury Concern for Mbappé

However, the win came at a cost, as Mbappé suffered a knock to his ankle during the match. He is expected to miss the next qualifying match against Iceland on Monday, which could be a significant blow to France’s chances.

Next Match Against Iceland

France will face Iceland on Monday, and while the absence of Mbappé will be felt, the team will be looking to build on their momentum from the win over Azerbaijan. A win against Iceland would bring France even closer to securing their spot in next year’s World Cup.
