Introduction to Dana Halabi’s New Album

Dana Halabi is turning the page and starting a new singing career with her album “You Are Qasi”. After releasing the album song, Dana Halabi achieved the expected success. She chose the words of Samir Tariq and the music of Ali Al-Khawaja, arranged by Zaher Deeb, in a new artistic composition for her. Dana Halabi filmed the song directed by Faten Barazi. She presented it in a way similar to Dana Halabi’s character, who is close to heart and aware of her goals in advance.

Confidence in Her Abilities

Considered by many to be a thought leader, smart and intelligent mind, Dana does not hesitate to acknowledge the presence of all these qualities within her. She explained: "Yes, I am smart and have full confidence. This is for a simple reason: from the beginning to now, I have not imitated anyone. I know exactly what I want and I always go my own way. I think about my decisions to attract those who love me and trust my artistic abilities, and I surprise them, be it with acting or singing."

New Album and Upcoming Songs

Dana Halabi speaks enthusiastically about her new album. She promises her fans that she will release the rest of her songs soon. It is a mini-album containing six songs: "You Are Cruel", "Mashkaljiya", "I Don’t Sleep", "My Dream Boy" and "Three Hearts" as well as an Egyptian song titled "Abu Aib". For her, the album marks her return to the singing scene after an absence. Lately she has been engaged in dramatic and film work. Due to lack of time, she made do with shy singing.

Maturity in Her Career

Anyone who looks at the song “You Are Cruel” will immediately notice that Dana has become more mature. Just as her beauty makes her a star, her performance has also improved significantly. Here she explains: "This album is without a doubt a turning point in my career. It is the product of the maturity and development that I have gained through the experiences I have gained in 20 years. After all these years, it is time for me to take a step that suits me, as it suits my current age and my facial features, which are more like the "lady’s face" and no longer the child’s face."

Collaboration with Famous Poets and Composers

Dana Halabi collaborates with a group of famous poets and composers in her new album. Among them are Muhammad Barakat, Samir Tariq, Omar Khawaja and others. “They are all names that have left new marks on the singing scene.” She describes her voice as “unobtrusive” and “close to the heart.” She knows how to choose certain songs that are sweet and suit her personality and the character of her voice.

Personal Life and Music

When asked if the songs on her new album were inspired by her personal life, she replied: "No, never. I don’t confuse my personal life with the songs that I present." But you can say that she is similar to me with her music. Each song has its own uniqueness and is not similar to the other. Dana from time to time separates her artistic maturity from her stay in Egypt and explains: "The problem has nothing to do with where I live, whether in Egypt or Lebanon."

Hobbies and Interests

One of Dana Halabi’s hobbies is reading, and the latest book she’s reading today is "Wonders of Revolutions." She also prefers books that deal with documentary and religious themes and stays away from novels. Regarding her opinion about the art scene today, especially since she lived through the past, she replies: "Social media has greatly influenced the scene and changed its scene in general."

Opinion on the Current Art Scene

She admits that she loves reading newspapers and touching the pages with her fingertips. She added: "I loved reading my articles in newspapers. "I enjoy the political content when I read it right in front of me." On why she left the media industry after writing in newspapers, she explains: “I had to dedicate myself to a career and I chose art.” For Lebanon she predicts: “We are heading towards a dangerous abyss.” Regarding her new drama, she says that she is reading the script of a new series but hasn’t made her decision yet.
