Firebook Entertainment Expands into Production

Firebook Entertainment, a US-based sales and distribution company, has officially launched its production division. The company is kicking off this new venture with the upcoming Spanish premiere of the film "Any Hard Thing" at the Sitges festival this weekend.

About the Film

"Any Hard Thing" is a feature film written and directed by Mickey Reece, which premiered at Fantasia. The movie centers around a mild-mannered advertising salesman who becomes paranoid after witnessing a murder. The film boasts a talented cast, including Josh Fadem from "You Better Call Saul," Vera Drew, Barbara Crampton, James Urbaniak, and Tipper Newton.

Production and Distribution

The producers of "Any Hard Thing" include Kassie Gann, Peter Kuplowsky, Andrew Appleyard, John Moss, David Bond, and Juan Pablo Reinoso for Firebook Entertainment. The company is also handling the international distribution of the feature. Firebook Entertainment aims to combine genre thrills with artistic ambition, spanning horror, mystery, psychological thrillers, and more.

CEO’s Vision

CEO John Moss has a notable background in executive producing, with credits including Gaelic-language horror films "The Phantom" and "Deathstalker," a reinterpretation of the 1983 cult film. Moss expressed his excitement about the launch of the production division, stating that it underscores what Firebook does best: packaging, financing, and international distribution of high-quality genre features. He emphasized that their model strategically leverages contractual co-productions, tax incentives, and festival launches to maximize investor ROI while protecting the creative integrity of each film.

Upcoming Screening

"Any Hard Thing" will be showcased at the Sitges festival on October 12th and 13th as part of the Noves Visions series. This platform is ideal for showcasing bold, globally acclaimed storytelling that Firebook was designed for. With the official launch of its production division, Firebook Entertainment is poised to make a significant impact in the film industry.
