Introduction to The Infinite Shell
New film and television distributors Chroma, based in the USA, has acquired worldwide rights to Aaron Silverstein’s sci-fi film, The Infinite Shell. This movie is set to have its international premiere at Sitges on Thursday, October 9.
The Film’s Plot
The Infinite Shell tells the story of an alien sentient named Vel, who is sent to Earth to spy on one of his kind. Upon landing in Los Angeles, Vel inhabits the body or “shell” of a woman, played by newcomer Peace Ikediuba. The film is a mix of sci-fi and film noir, drawing comparisons to Blade Runner and Arrival.
Release Plans
Chroma is planning a limited theatrical and full digital release of The Infinite Shell in 2026. After its premiere at Sitges, the film will also screen at SXSW Sydney. The movie’s unique blend of genres and its thought-provoking storyline are expected to generate significant interest among fans of science fiction.
The Creative Team
Aaron Silverstein wrote, produced, and composed the score for The Infinite Shell. His work on the film has been praised by Chroma Vice President Ahbra Perry, who described him as the embodiment of the independent spirit. Silverstein is proud to have Chroma on board to help bring his film to audiences around the world.
About Chroma
Chroma is a distribution label that was founded earlier this year to champion bold sci-fi, horror, and thriller films. It is one of three distribution labels under Narrative Distribution, alongside Wolfe Video and Persimmon. Chroma’s goal is to support and promote innovative and daring filmmakers, and The Infinite Shell is a great example of the kind of film they are looking to distribute.
The Deal
The deal between Chroma and the film’s producers was brokered by Ahbra Perry, who worked with Bill Straus of Bridge Independent. Perry has a background in film programming and distribution, having worked at Alamo Drafthouse and Giant Pictures, as well as Fantastic Fest. Her experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping to bring The Infinite Shell to a wider audience.
