Air India Express Faces Another Disorder
Air India Express passengers on the Jaipur-Dubai route faced another disorder on Monday, September 29th, when the airline reported a last-minute cancellation – this time because no plane was available.
Cancellation of Flight IX-195
The flight IX-195, which was supposed to depart from Jaipur International Airport for Dubai at 5:55 a.m., was scrapped from Dubai after the incoming leg IX-196. Airport officers confirmed that the Dubai-Jaipur service, which was due at 12:46 p.m., was never operated. The outgoing flight was canceled without planes on hand, leaving hundreds of passengers who had reached the airport after 1 a.m. stranded.
Previous Incidents
This was the second incident in less than a week. The same service was interrupted on September 25th when the incoming Dubai flight was grounded due to a technical issue. The airline initially canceled the Jaipur-Dubai flight before arranging a replacement aircraft two hours later. On September 15th, another flight in Dubai was broken off before takeoff when cockpit warning lights forced the pilot to return the aircraft to the terminal area. The engineers could not rectify the issue, and the service was canceled after passengers had already boarded.
Impact on Travelers
The consecutive cancellations and delays have unsettled travelers, many of whom complain about missed connections on a route that remains one of the busiest connections between Rajasthan and the United Arab Emirates. The frequent disruptions have caused inconvenience to passengers, highlighting the need for the airline to ensure reliable services on this critical route.
