Introduction to the New Military Drama
This article deals with a developing history. Take a look at us because we add more information as soon as they are available.
Ron Howard’s New Project
Ron Howard will give another remarkable true story to life, and he has found the stars to realize it. Adam Driver and Anne Hathaway have officially registered to lead the new military drama of the Oscar winner, Alone at Dawn, at Amazon MGM Studios.
The Story Behind the Film
Based on the bestseller book of the New York Times from Dan Schilling and Lori Longfritz, the film will narrate the heroic efforts of Air Force combat control John Chapman when he made his last stand alone to save over 20 of his Navy Seal Comrades during the Afghan War. Howard’s film will also emphasize the efforts of a secret service officer years later, which carried out an investigation of the story to prove his bravery and make it the first plane for almost 50 years to earn a medal of honor.
The Heroic Story of John Chapman
Chapman was a member of the Seal Team Six in Afghanistan when a disaster and helicopter were depressed. Shortly before dawn on March 4, 2002, he had led a desperate charge to the climax of a mountain to find a lost comrade, but suffered mortal wounds and lost awareness during the attack. It was assumed that he was dead and was left by his fellow officers when they continued their push, just to wake up just in time to have dealt with three groups of qualified enemy fighters. Chapman continued to fight alone to ensure the security of a rescue command, a heroic effort in the face of death, which would eventually result in a push of granting him the coveted medal.
The Cast and Crew
The driver will take on the role of Chapman, while Hathaway will play the officer who helped him earn his medal of honor. The film has been in development since the bestseller of the book, with Hideaway Entertainment winning a heated bidding war for the rights to make a film after seeing the original manuscript of Schilling and Longfritz. Writing tasks were then handed over to Significant Survivor producer and Thai Cave Rescue creator and showrunner Michael Russell Gunn, with earlier revisions carried out by Erin Cressida Wilson and Amy Herzog. When Howard read the story, he became so fluctuated to come on board as a director, and his expertise for recording the size of incredible true stories, from Apollo 13 to Thirteen Life and his latest historical survival thriller, Eden, made him the perfect fit for the project.
