Introduction to Meta Ray-Ban Display

I recently had the opportunity to try out Meta’s new smart glasses, the Meta Ray-Ban Display, at Meta Connect in California. These glasses have all the features of a normal pair of Meta Ray-Ban glasses, but with a new, colorful hi-res display. The display has impressive clarity, making it easy to read small text, see details in pictures, and view bright and lively colors.

Meta Ray-Ban Display Explained

The Meta Ray-Ban Display is the company’s first publicly available pair of smart glasses with a built-in screen. It shows apps from your phone, such as WhatsApp texts, Instagram reels, or a Google Maps navigation window. You can also chat with the AI helper and see their answers in a clear view. To control what you see, you wear a Meta Neural Band on your wrist, which picks up tiny micro-movements and recognizes the gestures you make, translating them into controls on the glasses.

Practical Experience with Meta Ray-Ban Display

One of the most impressive features of the Meta Ray-Ban Display is the live transcription feature. This feature transcribes the words of someone you’re speaking to in real-time, which is life-changing for people with hearing problems. The glasses are also directional, so you know who you’re listening to, and can even filter out background conversations. Another useful feature is the ability to access recipes and cooking instructions, which can be displayed in front of you as you cook. The Google Maps navigation feature is also practical, providing you with walking directions without having to pull out your phone.

Unique Features of Meta Ray-Ban Display

Other unique features of the Meta Ray-Ban Display include video calling, which allows you to make calls without blocking the outside world. The controls are also exceptionally easy to use, even for those with little technical experience. The neural band is very responsive and provides haptic feedback, making it easy to learn and master the movements. The glasses will be available for sale in selected stores on September 30th in the USA, priced at $799, which includes the Meta Neural Band and one case.

Availability and Pricing

The Meta Ray-Ban Display will be available in the UK in early 2026. The price includes the glasses, the Meta Neural Band, and one case. With its impressive features and ease of use, the Meta Ray-Ban Display is a significant step forward in smart glasses technology. Its ability to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience makes it an exciting development in the world of tech.
