Introduction to the Incident

Beyoncé’s unpublished music and other sensitive documents were stolen in July, just before the Cowboy Carter Tour in Atlanta. The thief made off with valuable items, including unreleased music, documents, and personal belongings.

The Arrest

According to the Atlanta police, Kelvin Evans was taken into custody on August 26th and booked into Fulton County Jail. Evans was charged with a crime involving entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intention to commit theft or a crime. His bond was set at $20,000, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday.

The Stolen Items

The authorities have not yet recovered the stolen items, which include two suitcases containing "watermarked music, some unreleased music, video shoot plans, and past and future set lists." The thief also stole various items of clothing, AirPods Max headphones, and MacBook laptops.

The Break-In

The thieves allegedly broke into a rental car parked in a parking deck on July 8th, belonging to Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue. The stolen items were only in the car for a few days before the theft occurred.

The Aftermath

Beyoncé’s representative has been contacted for comment after the arrest. The incident occurred just before the end of Beyoncé’s 10th concert tour, which concluded on July 26th in Paradise, Nevada. The tour was a massive success, with ticket sales exceeding $407 million.

The Tour’s Success

The Cowboy Carter Tour performed in several cities across the US and Europe, including California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Atlanta, and Washington, DC, as well as international stops in London and Paris. The tour consisted of 32 shows, cementing Beyoncé’s status as a music icon.
