Introduction to Lil NAS X’s Current Situation
Lil NAS X, whose real name is Montero Hill, has been dealing with the aftermath of his arrest last month. The rapper’s lawyer has announced that he will be undergoing treatment, following his arrest and subsequent charges.
The Arrest and Charges
In August, Lil NAS X was arrested almost naked and apparently disoriented after being found in Studio City by Ventura Boulevard. The police took him to a hospital to treat a possible overdose before spending the weekend in jail. He was later charged with four crimes, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Treatment and Well-being
After appearing in court on Monday, Lil NAS X’s lawyers spoke to the press outside the Los Angeles court. Lawyer Drew Findling shared that the rapper will be receiving treatment, stating, "We do it from a personal point of view and a professional point of view, which is best for Montero, but especially for his well-being." Findling continued, "He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people who take care of him and love him. We only address these problems. It’s really that easy."
Details of the Treatment
The specifics of Lil NAS X’s treatment have not been shared by his lawyers. However, it is known that the judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Shellie Samuel, modified the conditions of the rapper’s release to allow for ongoing inpatient care. The judge stated, "The defendant shall not remain in state custody as long as he remains in treatment."
Previous Statements and Upcoming Court Date
After being released from jail last month, Lil NAS X told his fans on Instagram, "Your girl will be fine… She will go well." He also expressed that the experience was "damn terrible" and "terrifying." The rapper’s next court date is set for November 18.
