Introduction to Hypermax in Bahrain
The Dubai conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim has introduced its brand for food trade, Hypermax, in Bahrain, replacing Carrefour Bahrain in Golfand.
About Majid Al Futtaim Group
The Majid Al Futtaim Group has the exclusive right to operate Carrefour in 12 markets, including Bahrain, in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. It is one of the largest family-owned companies interested in shopping centers, real estate, retail, and leisure in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Carrefour Operations
Carrefour Bahrain, which was operated by Majid Al Futtaim, revealed in a social media post that it ceased operations on September 14 of last year. At the end of last year, Carrefour also ceased its business in Jordan in November 2024.
Hypermax Expansion
In January, Carrefour Oman ceased operations and was replaced by Hypermax by Majid Al Futtaim. The brand, which already operates in Oman and Jordan, has a chain of 6 shops in Bahrain.
