Get Ready, Swifties!
Swifties, get ready to set your alarms for midnight to get a copy of Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Show Girl. Selected Target stores across the country will be opening at midnight local time on October 3 to sell copies of the highly anticipated 12th studio album of the pop icon.
Pre-Order and Exclusive Deals
Fans can also pre-order the album using the large retail chain, which includes three exclusive CD packages that contain an 8-page lyric booklet and exclusive poster. On October 3, Target stores will have a complete discography in addition to Swift’s The Life of a Show Girl.
The Album Announcement
Last month, the singer announced the new album on the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce, her fiancé, and Kansas City Chiefs star, as well as his brother and former NFL star Jason Kelce. At that time, Swift unveiled that The Life of a Show Girl would drop on October 3 and contain 12 new songs, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, which closes out the album.
What to Expect from the Album
"It only comes from the most contagious, wild, and dramatic place I was in my life," said Swift about the album in the podcast, before adding: "This is the record that I wanted to make for a very long time." Travis Kelce also teased what fans can expect from the new album compared to last year’s The Department for Tortured Poets. "I was lucky enough to hear every single song here, so I know that they are all 12 bangers," he said. "The Life of a Show Girl is much more optimistic and it’s much more funny pop excitement. I think Tortured Poet is secure."
