Introduction to Vue’s New CFO

Vue, one of the leading cinema companies in Europe, has appointed James McArthur as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This move comes after the company underwent a financial restructuring during the Covid period. As a result, Vue is expected to go public in 2026, as its current shareholders are looking to sell their shares.

Background on James McArthur

McArthur brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked as Chief Financial and Transformation Officer at HX Expeditions, a global expedition cruise company. He also held a global role at GenissiScare, one of the largest providers of cancer care in Australia. McArthur’s international experience, operational expertise, and financial track record make him an ideal fit for the position.

Vue’s Expansion Plans

The appointment of McArthur comes at an exciting time for Vue, as the company continues to expand its operations. Recently, Vue opened two new cinemas in Italy, one in central Milan and another in a major Italian city. The company is also launching its new "epic" PLF (Premium Large Format) screens in locations throughout the UK and Europe, with the first one set to open in Castleford, Yorkshire.

Vue’s Future Outlook

According to Tim Richards, founder and CEO of Vue, the company is now ready to move forward at full speed. With McArthur on board, Vue has a complete team in place to drive growth and investment. Richards expressed his enthusiasm for McArthur’s appointment, stating that he is an "astonishing fit" for the role due to his extensive experience and track record of bringing companies to the public market.

About Vue International

Vue International is currently active in eight countries, with 226 locations and 1,978 screens. The company’s expansion plans and new initiatives, such as the launch of its PLF screens, are expected to further solidify its position as a leading player in the European cinema market. With McArthur at the helm as CFO, Vue is poised for continued growth and success in the years to come.
