Introduction to Attentat Classroom
Attentat Classroom is a popular anime series that has been making waves in the animation world. After a decade since the first outline, a brand new film has been announced, titled Attentat Classroom: Minna No Jikka. This upcoming animated feature is set to be released in 2026 and promises to overtake the story of the below-average students who are commissioned to kill their teacher.
The Storyline
The story follows a group of students in class 3-e in Kunugigaoka Junior High, who are tasked with killing a tentacle creature called Korosensi before he blows up the earth on the same day. These students have a big task in front of them: they not only have to murder this super-large being who can move at Mach 20, but also face bullying from other students because they do not meet the school’s academic standards. In order to motivate the murder, the Ministry of Defense promised a reward of 10 billion yen for those who can kill the creature. In addition, the creature agrees to be the teacher of these students.
The Anime Series
The anime series consists of two seasons, where Korosensis becomes a massive influence in class 3-E and drastically helps the grades of the students and their morality. This attracts the attention of those in the main building, especially the Big Five, a group of students who have the highest grades in the five core subjects, and the headmaster, Gakuho Asano. As the assassination progresses, Korosensis and his students begin to build trust to the point where he not only shares his weaknesses but also his background story.
The New Film
Attentat Classroom: Minna No Jikka will not only continue the story of the anime series but also offer scenes that were not adapted when the show was still broadcasting. The film will feature the return of the original voice cast, including Jun Fukuyama as Korosensi, Tomokazu Sugita as Karasuma, May Fuchigami as Nagisa Shiota, Aya Suzaki as Kaede Kayano, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Karma Akabane. The action for the feature is still to be announced, and it is currently not known whether there will be an English dub or a western release date.
Previous Films
Attentat Classroom: Minna No Jikka is not the only feature film based on Yusei Matsui’s hit manga. In 2016, the film Attentat Classroom: 365 Days was released, summarizing the entire anime series. There were also two live-action films: Attentat Classroom and Attentat Classroom: Graduation. The new film is set to be released in Japanese cinemas on March 20, 2026. In the meantime, seasons 1 and 2 of the anime series can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
