A Call to Action for Politics

Introduction to the Issue

Victoria Kobenko had a clear message for politics in the Hague on Tuesday: estimate art, theater, media and sport. During the presentation of an action plan in the lower house, the actress spoke a plan of a large club of social organizations that prefers to combine the Netherlands.

Support from Various Organizations

Under the statements of support are notable organizations such as Noc*NSF, the KNVB, Book umbrella organization CPNB, Association of Event Makers, various unions and media. This extensive list of supporters highlights the importance and relevance of the issue at hand.

The Importance of Unity

After the presentation, Kobenko emphasized the significance of unity and the binding factors that bring people together. She stated, "That is what binds us. And it is more susceptible than we think." This statement underscores the fragility of the bonds that hold society together and the need for vigilance in protecting them.

A Warning Against Repression

Kobenko also issued a warning against the dangers of repression, drawing from historical experiences where regimes have slowly eroded freedoms. She explained, "Because I know how regime slipped down. First, put the press on ties. Then the theater. Then the free questions. Before you know that it disappears, do not disappear." This serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of safeguarding artistic, media, and sporting freedoms.
