Rosé’s Big Win at the VMAS

Rosé, the 28-year-old K-Pop star and member of the SuperGroup Blackpink, has taken home the Song of the Year Trophy at the VMAS for her hit song "APT" with Bruno Mars. The song spent an impressive 45 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Her Emotional Acceptance Speech

Rosé was overjoyed as she walked onto the stage to accept her award, wearing a beautiful butter-yellow dress. She took the opportunity to thank her team and promised to call Bruno Mars after leaving the stage. During her speech, she thanked several people, including her team at The Black Label, her Korean agency, and Atlantic Records, her US label.

A Message to Her Younger Self

Rosé dedicated her award to her 16-year-old self, who had dreamed of achieving this level of success. "Twelve years later, I dedicate this award to my 16-year-old self, that dreamed," she told the crowd. She also thanked everyone who had supported her and believed in her, saying that each one of them had brought her to where she is today.

Gratitude and Appreciation

Rosé also expressed her gratitude to her Blackpink members, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa, as well as Teddy Park, the long-time producer and co-founder of her solo label, The Black Label. She spoke in Korean, overcome with emotion, and the audience cheered her on. In a unique move, Rosé also thanked her therapist, saying that they had encouraged her to keep going even in the toughest times.

A Message to Her Fans

Rosé’s speech was not just about her own achievement, but also about the importance of perseverance and support. She told the audience to always remember that they have people who believe in them, and to never give up on their dreams. Her message was met with applause and cheers, and it’s clear that Rosé’s win at the VMAS is not just a victory for herself, but also for her fans and everyone who has supported her along the way.
