The latest box office report for Great Britain and Ireland is out, and it’s filled with exciting numbers. The top five films for the weekend of August 29-31 are:
Top Five Films
- The Roses (UK-US) – Distributed by Disney, this film took the top spot with £2.2m from 694 locations, averaging £3,170 per location.
- Jaw (US) – Universal’s 50th-anniversary re-release of the classic film took second place with £1.1m from 679 locations, averaging £1,620 per location.
- Weapons (US) – Warner Bros’ horror thriller continued to perform well, taking £838,351 from an unknown number of locations, with a total of £10.4m after four weekends.
- The Evil 2 (US) – Universal’s film rose by 58% from its previous session, taking £807,222 with a total of £11.9m after six weekends.
- More Triggered Friday (US) – Disney’s film added £744,302 to its total, now standing at £7.4m after four weekends.
