What to Expect from Season 3
The upcoming season, also known as "Jujutsu Kaisen the Culling Game", will be adapting the manga arc of the same name. The first teaser trailer has already been released, showing the protagonist Yuji Itadori dealing with conflicts and despair after the "Shibuya incident". The preview also features an intense fight between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, the main character of the prequel film "Jujutsu Kaisen 0", as well as a heated confrontation between the new character Naoya Zen’in and Choso. Other characters, such as Megumi Fushuro, Yuki Tsukumo, and Maki Zen’in, make short appearances in the teaser.

Mappa will be returning as the animation studio for the third season, with Shota Goshazono as the director and Hiroshi Seko handling series writing composition and script. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa will be responsible for character designs. The Japanese voice cast includes Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushuro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso, and Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu.

The "Jujutsu Kaisen" manga, based on the work of Gege Akutami, has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The manga completed its run in the weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024. The first anime season was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by a second season that covered the hidden inventory/early death and Shibuya arcs from July to December 2023. The series has won several awards, including the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021 and 2024. The theater film "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" won the best anime film at the global box office at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023.
