Introduction to iPhone SMS Trick
A little-known iPhone SMS trick can make you less annoying. The easy-to-do function "owned" iPhone owners, and it only takes seconds. Apple stuffed its iPhones with many clever tricks that you may not know about.
The Most Underestimated iPhone Function
The fans went to Reddit to "share the most underestimated iPhone function that they use every day". Users flowed to display their most popular tips such as Apple Airdrop for quickly sharing files, searching for pictures for keyword and anti-motion bags of bags. However, a user earned hundreds of upvotes with his SMS tip. "I love the option ‘later’ to the SMS," they wrote. "There is so often that I want to write to someone an SMS, but then realize that it is too late/early/not the right time. And I don’t want to forget, so I use the later option. I use it very much."
Using the Later Option
A user replied and said they were "obsessed with this". Another said: "I use it to remind my ex-Hemann to give our son medicine or put something in his school bag. The memory of the man is that of a sieve, and he does not seem to be able to put memories for himself. So I can be a gnawing ex-wife, even if I’m not there." Another wrote: "Oh, that’s great. Thank you!" And one added: "I use a lot (night school, which is married at 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.). I will send him a text at 2 a.m. to deliver at 6 p.m. Total confuses him. Every. Single. Time. Although I literally showed him how it is done."
How to Plan Messages on the iPhone
The function is sent later and should make it less annoying. It means that they can plan texts instead of waking up people in the middle of the night – or disturbing them when they are busy doing something else. Apple explains: "If it is too late or too important at night to forget it, you can plan an SMS that is to be sent at a later date. The function was added with iOS 18 In September – Check whether you have this in settings> General> Software update.
Planning a Message
To plan a message, go to messages, then tap the plus (+) symbol, then send CBOOSE later. Now tap the time to open the schedule and select the time that your text should go out. You can plan a message for up to 14 days in the future. As soon as you have done that, you will see how the edge of the text field turns into a dashed line. The time in which your message is sent should be displayed via the message. Now tap the text you want to send and then tap the blue arrow to plan it.
Managing Planned Messages
The message is displayed with a dashed line until the shipment time – and it is also delivered when your devices are offline. However, you have to be online if you actually plan the message. As soon as this is set up, you can be free to walk away from the grid. You can change the delivery time by tapping next to the date and then selecting a new time. You can select the "Send a message" option to send it immediately. And you can change the content of your text by holding the message and then selecting the processing. You can also delete a planned text in this way.
