Introduction to the New BBC Series

The BBC has announced the lineup for its new legal drama series, which is set in Glasgow. The eight-part series features a talented cast of young actors, including Brandon Grace, Ro Kumar, Eilidh Park, George Prentice, Alyth Ross, and Rebecca Bell. These actors play the roles of young lawyers who are trying to navigate their complex and chaotic lives as their careers become more serious.

The Plot and Setting

After being trained together at an elite law faculty, the characters are now dispersed throughout the profession and are on trial. The series is created by Scottish writers Bryan Elsley, who is known for creating the E4 drama Skins, and Gillian McCormack, a graduate of the BBC Writers’ Drama Room. The series is set entirely in Glasgow, and the creators aim to bring the city to life with lively and engaging stories and characters.

The Creators’ Vision

Bryan Elsley expressed his excitement about guiding the series with McCormack, stating that they look forward to introducing a galaxy of Scottish acting, writing, and directing talents to their audience. McCormack added that it was an astonishing experience to work with Elsley and see the incredible crew and phenomenal cast come together. She is eager to share the stories of the characters against the backdrop of the dynamic and exciting city of Glasgow.

The Cast

The ensemble cast is accompanied by an established lineup of actors, including Michelle Gomez, Derek Riddell, Laura Haddock, Daniela Nardini, Michael Nardone, Sally Howitt, Stuart Bowman, Neshla Caplan, and Stephen Purdon. Filming for the series is currently ongoing in Glasgow.

Production and Release

The series is made by Balloon Entertainment for BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Scotland. With its talented cast and crew, the series promises to be an exciting and engaging watch for audiences. The creators’ passion for the project and their commitment to showcasing Scottish talent are evident in the series, which is sure to be a hit with viewers.
