Introduction to New Cinema Releases

The ICA Cinema has recently acquired the British theater sales rights for two award-winning films: I only rest in the storm and Fium death!. These films are set to be released in UK cinemas this autumn, with premieres taking place at the ICA Cinema in London.

About the Films

I only rest in the storm

I only rest in the storm is a Portuguese film directed by Pedro Pinhos. It debuted at Cannes this year, where Cleo Diasra won the prize for best actress. The film tells the story of an environmental engineer who takes a position in West Africa, building complex relationships with locals while uncovering details about the unexplained disappearance of his predecessor. The international rights for the film have been acquired by Paradise City Sales, and it is produced by Portugal’s A Stone in shoe and terratreme films.

Fium death!

Fium death! is a film directed by Igor Bezinovic, which won the main prize at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) in February. The film retells the story of the 16-month occupation of the Croatian city of Rijeka (known as Fiume) by Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio in 1919. The producers of the film are Vanja Jambrovic and Tibor Keser for the Croatian company Restart.

Upcoming Release

Both I only rest in the storm and Fium death! will be released in UK cinemas this autumn, with premieres taking place at the ICA Cinema in London. This is an exciting opportunity for UK audiences to experience these award-winning films on the big screen. With their unique stories and critically acclaimed direction, these films are sure to generate buzz and attract a wide range of viewers.
