New Movie Releases in the UK and Ireland
This weekend, Disney’s romantic comedy, The Roses, is leading the pack in the UK and Ireland. The movie, directed by Jay Roach, tells the story of a loving couple whose marriage takes a turn when the roles are reversed. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman and is based on the same novel that inspired the 1989 dark comedy starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
Competition from Other Movies

Signature Entertainment is starting the black comedy The Toxic Avenger at 312 locations, starring Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon. Japanese animated musical Colorful Stage! The Film: A Miku Who Can’t Sing is opening at 174 cinemas via Anime Ltd, and Bakrania Media has the Indian novel Param Sundari at 45 locations.

The box office is expected to be competitive this weekend, with The Roses and Caught Theft vying for the top spot.
