New Thriller Movie Announced
Channing Tatum, Oscar Isaac, and Zazie Beetz are set to star in the upcoming thriller movie Kockroach. The film’s talks with international buyers started at TIFF, and CAA Media Finance and Range Media Partners will be participating in the US rights.
The Storyline
The movie is based on the book by William Lashner and will be directed by Matt Ross, who led Captain Fantastic. The story follows a mysterious stranger, Tyler Knox, who takes on New York’s criminal elite and becomes a major player in the city’s power struggle. Jonathan Ames adapted the script with revisions from Ross.
Production Details
Andrew Lazar is producing the film through his production company, Mad Chance. The main photography is scheduled to begin in Australia in January. The movie is expected to be a thrilling ride, with a talented cast and experienced director at the helm.
The Cast
Oscar Isaac is currently starring in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, which will have its world premiere in Venice on August 30th. Channing Tatum will be starring in the Tiff Gala presentation Roofman, which will have its world premiere on September 6th. Zazie Beetz has credits in The Evil Dead and Joker films, as well as the TV series Atlanta.
