Introduction to Iwan’s Life and Career

Iwan, a Lebanese artist, has been through various life stages, making his story suitable for a film. Throughout his lyrical career, he experienced periods of absence from the spotlight, only to return with noticeable artistic growth and maturity in his thinking. Iwan believes that everyone has stories that could be turned into cinematic films, especially considering the difficulties and wars in Lebanon.

Overcoming Challenges and Returning to the Scene

After an absence, Iwan recently published several songs, including the Egyptian "Shatta," which received positive reactions from his fans. His latest work is a Lebanese song titled "Above," featuring his own words, melodies, and distribution by musician Yasser al-Hamadiyya. The song contains an honorary gesture to the capital, Beirut, and was presented by director Rendali Qudaih. Iwan has decided to make a final return to the scene, grabbing his affairs and making a decision to move forward.

Mental Health and Career

Iwan has been brave in announcing his struggles with a psychological disorder, known as "Bipolar," which has influenced his career. He comments on the importance of talking about mental health in public, saying that people with art are not always happy and may be exposed to pathological states. Iwan’s openness about his illness has inspired others, including famous people in Lebanon and abroad, to speak about their own struggles.

Successes and Failures

Iwan admits to achieving successes and facing failures, including a lyrical album whose marketing was not appropriately known. He explains that there is a difference in marketing between yesterday and today, with social media playing a significant role. Iwan has decided to publish individual songs instead of albums, interacting with people in a new way.

Losses and Regrets

In terms of losses, Iwan explains that he has lost a lot of time, which has reflected in his concerts and successes. Many opportunities have been lost, not only in his artistic path but also on a personal level. During his distance from the scene, Iwan saw changes on site clearly, watching the emergence of new talents and music styles.

Young Talents and Music Styles

Iwan talks about young talents, including the entry of new music styles in Egypt and Lebanon. He believes that Al-Shami was successful due to its spontaneity, while Bisan develops at an enormous speed. Both artists have achieved noticeable success in the scene. Iwan also comments on the criticism that Bisan faced regarding her lyrical skills, saying that he admires her voice and believes that her talent and strength will crystallize with time.

Collaboration and Inspiration

One of the notable collaborations Iwan has been a part of is with Jordanian fashion designer Kish Jin, who was inspired by Iwan’s songs. The designer has chosen several of Iwan’s songs to incorporate into his designs, including "The Words of God" and "My Heart Sahran." Iwan continues to inspire and influence others through his work, leaving a lasting impact on the music scene.
