Introduction to Cecilie Bahnsen’s Career
Cecilie Bahnsen broke into the scene of the Copenhagen Fashion Week 10 years ago this month. Today, the designer, one of the greatest fashion exports from Copenhagen, returns to her hometown to celebrate the legacy of the brand and its long-term creative community.
A Unique Archive Show
This solemn shop window replaces the usual Paris show of the brand, which takes place on October 1, and shows the same pieces. When visiting the brand’s Copenhagen studio two days before the show, her team was immediately working on both collections.
Pre-Show Anticipation
"At the moment we feel very calm and excited. It was really amazing to work with the team, to work with the archive, to understand everything and to look at all the things we have achieved together," says Bahnsen. "I think it is important to stop and think, and sometimes you only do it in these moments."
Creating the Copenhagen Collection
In order to create the Copenhagen collection, Bahnsen and her team took out the archives and placed them in the middle of the studio a few months ago, splicing ideas, fabrics, and silhouettes from various collections to create an offer based on previous hits.
Global Gathering for the Show
For the show, the brand has flown in its entire board, investors, and very important customers (VICS) from all over the world. This gathering marks a significant milestone in the brand’s history, celebrating a decade of contribution to the fashion world.
