Hermès’ Financial Success
Hermès’ financial results continue to exceed the luxury sector, with the income in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year by 9 percent to 3.9 billion euros, the company announced last week. The brand broke down the market consistently, while the competitors have stayed behind, supported by its resistant customer base with high network individual (HNWI). In volatile times it is no wonder that others want to reproduce the effect.
Ultra-Luxury Fashion Brands
Hermès is a handful of ultra-luxury fashion brands, together with Brunello Cucinelli and Loro Piana, which are connected to super-rich consumers. Hermès is the largest, oldest and most prominent in this category, which was founded in 1837 with a market capitalization (the total value of the outstanding stocks of companies) of over 250 billion euros.
Market Capitalization and Performance
Loro Piana was founded in 1924 and taken over by LVMH in 2013 (the brand was rated 2.7 billion euros at the time, and while LVMH does not break the performance of its individual brands, analysts find that Loro Piana tends to give up). Brunello Cucinelli was founded in 1978 and has a market capitalization of 7 billion euros. In the first half of 2025, sales rose by 10.2 percent compared to the previous year to 684 million euros.
