The Plot Unfolds
The story takes place in the sweltering summer of 1974 in Texas. It revolves around the ruthless Federico Carrasco, who takes control of the Huntsville prison. In a bold move, the prison’s priest, Father Joseph O’Brien, played by Isaacs, teams up with Jim Estelle, the head of the Texas Department of Corrections, to save the lives of the hostages taken by Carrasco and his men. By offering himself as a hostage, Father O’Brien puts his life on the line to protect others.

The script for Eleven Days is written by Kevin Sheridan, with revisions by Landesman. The story is based on the book Eleven Days in Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege in Huntsville, Texas by William T. Harper. The film is set to start production in Texas in September, with Vincent Newman and Vance Howard at the helm as producers.
