Jack Haven and Janeane Garofalo are set to star in the main roles of the dark comedic thriller, Grind, directed by Peter Collins Campbell. The film is scheduled to start shooting in New York City in October.
The Plot and Characters
In Grind, Haven plays Ricky, a Manhattan food delivery biker who is obsessed with the hustle and bustle of the city. He is on a mission to make all his rent in one night, which leads to a crazy and intense journey. The role of Garofalo in the film has not been disclosed yet.

The indie film is supported by Cinereach and produced by Bethany Mchugh, with Philipp Engelhorn acting as an executive producer. Allison Estrin is also involved in the project, bringing her expertise to the table.

Haven is known for their leading role in the A24 film I Saw the TV Shine, which earned them nominations for Gotham and Independent Spirit Awards. They also starred in the Netflix series Atypical and appeared in the surrealistic horror film Amelia’s Children. Garofalo, on the other hand, has worked on projects like Wet Hot American Summer, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, and Ratatouille. She was recently seen in shows like Younger and Billions.
The Director’s Background
Campbell started his career as a music video director in Chicago and has shown his shorts at over 40 festivals. He released his debut feature, Dimand, in 2021, and is now set to direct Grind with a talented cast and crew.
