Flight Redirected Due to Severe Turbulence

Twenty-five people were taken to the hospital on Wednesday after a flight was redirected to Minneapolis due to severe turbulence. The flight was originally traveling from Salt Lake City, Utah to Amsterdam.

Details of the Incident

The flight, which had 275 passengers and 13 crew members on board, experienced "considerable turbulence" and was redirected to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. After safely landing, medical staff evaluated all on board.

Medical Response

Twenty-five people on board were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and support. The airline did not provide further clarification on the nature of the injuries or illnesses.

Flight Path

The aircraft met turbulence shortly after reaching an altitude of 27,000 feet and briefly climbed to about 38,000 feet before dropping down to just under 35,800 feet. It later stabilized at a height of 37,000 feet.
