Introduction to Remote Control

Adrianne Palicki is set to star in her next project, a horror thriller called Remote Control, from director Steven Degennaro. Palicki, known for her roles in Friday Night Lights and John Wick, will play the lead role of Jules, a woman who has been living alone in a 30-foot van for seven months.

The Plot of Remote Control

The story follows Jules, who escapes the isolation of her van by watching webcam streams from other people’s windows on a website. However, this escape becomes a source of horror as she becomes more and more entrenched in the online world. The film is an exploration of the psychological effects of isolation and the dangers of becoming too immersed in technology.

Production and Cast

Remote Control is written and produced by Steven Degennaro through his production company, Ubiquitous Studio 42. The film is also produced by Cameron Burns, Ashleigh Snead, and Aaron B. Koontz from Paper Street Pictures, as well as Charles Mulford and Jessica Perrin. The cast includes Roger Guenveur Smith, Chris Johnson, Josh Cruddas, and Jessica Perrin, in addition to Palicki.

Degennaro’s Background

Remote Control is Degennaro’s second film, following Found Footage 3D, which premiered at film festivals in 2016 and was later acquired by the horror streaming platform Shudder. Degennaro’s experience in the horror genre is evident in the tense and suspenseful plot of Remote Control.

Palicki’s Career

Adrianne Palicki has had a varied career, with notable roles in Friday Night Lights, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Her experience in playing complex and dynamic characters will likely bring depth to the role of Jules in Remote Control. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to be released soon.
