Charity Organization in Urgent Need of New Premises

A charity organization focused on health and well-being is facing a critical situation as it has been asked to leave its current location. The organization, which provides advisory sessions to support people’s mental health, must vacate its base in Kidderminster by August 8, after the landlord found new tenants.

Services and Impact

The charity offers a range of services, including group therapy, training courses to help with loneliness, and training to help people find jobs. With a significant impact on the community, the organization has helped 250 people per week and has been running for 12 years. The founders, Paul and Lynne Raper, emphasized that the charity is under "massive pressure" and that they are "destroyed" by the situation.

The Challenge Ahead

The company manager, Ralph Pars, stated that the employees are in a race against time to find new premises. The charity needs a hall for exercise groups and rooms for advice. Pars appealed to anyone with a suitable property in Kidderminster to contact him, as they are searching for a temporary solution as a step towards a permanent one.

Support from the Community

Lisa McNally, director of public health from Worcestershire, praised the charity organization for doing a "great job" and expressed hope that they can find a new home to operate their invaluable service. The charity’s founders highlighted that they meet some of the most vulnerable people in the Wyre forest, making their service indispensable to the community.

The Search for a Solution

The charity is considering a mobilization plan to enable a smooth transition to new premises. With only four weeks to find a new location, the organization is urging anyone with a suitable property to come forward. The search for a new home is ongoing, and the charity is counting on the support of the community to continue providing their essential services.
