Covid-19 Cases Expected to Rise in 25 States
Cases of Covid 19 are likely to grow in 25 states, as the estimates published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published on Friday, as this year’s summer wave of the virus seems to begin. The modeling of the agency suggests that the upswing is located in "many" southeast, south and west coast states.
Current Covid-19 Activity
The nationwide activity of Covid-19 is still considered "low" based on data from sewer samples, although that comes from "very low" the week before. Some of the highest rates of Covid-19 in emergency rooms are located in the Northwest of Pacific, where in June there was a strong increase in visits and in the southeast, where the rates have been steadily increasing for weeks.
New Variants and Covid-19 Spread
Health officers have observed an increase in Covid-19 this summer, as new variants have spread to the United States after driving overseas. A CDC analysis came to the conclusion that the virus has settled nationwide in twice a year and was usually reached from first in July to September and then in the second time in December to February.
Genetic Changes and Covid-19 Peaks
These cycles seem to be associated with cycles of genetic changes in part of the virus that scientists call the S1 region, a key element of the Spike protein of the virus that binds to human cells. The scientists in CDC analysis wrote: "Our analysis showed that in late summer and winter COVID-19-PEAKS are present, a pattern that continues as long as the fast development of Sars-Cov-2 and cyclical S1 variety continues."
Parvovirus B19 Infections
The rise of Covid-19 comes as health officers have examined reports on an unusual increase in another breath virus called Parvovirus B19. While many people do not develop symptoms of Parvovirus B19 infections, some people get sick with signs such as fever and muscle pain, followed by a rash. The CDC warned at the end of the last month of a "persistent increase" in the transfer of Parvovirus B19 and suggested that pregnant women consider the risk of containing the risk of masking serious complications.
