Introduction to Pitti
Curiosity, especially, drove me to learn more about Pitti. Although I have never been there and didn’t know much about the event, I realized that it might be an opportunity to learn something new. Pitti sounds like a very classic event, especially for someone like me who is in the fashion industry but spends most of their time in the office.
Expectations from Pitti
When we made our two shows in Paris in 2022/2023, it was very small. The Pitti show will be much larger, which is an amazing opportunity. I am not sure whether we can make this type of scale again. When I checked the guest designer list, there are so many great brands that I admire.
The Plan for Pitti
For Pitti, I am adopting a more classic style. For the first time, we will be concentrating on tailoring, which was missing from our previous collections. Although we have a model maker, designer, and the right technicians in my office and studio, tailoring has not been a focus until now.
Journey as a Founder
I started my brand in 2018, and on the journey of every founder, there is a milestone or a turning point. For me, it was definitely the LVMH Prize in 2021, where we were semi-finalists. Although it was an honor, I wanted to give up at the time due to the challenges we were facing.
Challenges Faced
We experienced the side effects of Covid until 2023, followed by inflation from 2023 to 2024, which affected the economy and people’s spending habits. As a result, our wholesale income fell, which used to be half of our business but decreased to around 35 percent. Despite these challenges, we are still growing, with a 20 percent growth in 2024, and our turnover rose by 39 percent from 2021 to 2022 and 75 percent from 2022 to 2023.
