Pitti and Milan Fashion Week Events
Community Events at Pitti
At Pitti, main supporters such as Kiton and newer brands like Guess jeans will host and organize community events over the weekend. The Danish Premium wheelbarrow will also organize a bike tour on Wednesday, showcasing a growing focus on performance labels. The Post Archive Group Show and the PAS Normal Ride Out are expected to be highlights at Pitti.
Expectations from Pitti
According to purchasing director at fashion retailers End Clothing, Terry Betts, the Post Archive Group Show and the PAS Normal Ride Out will be important events at Pitti. He is looking forward to seeing two of his favorite partners, Florence, present their unique worlds and communities, and is sure that Issey Miyake will deliver something wonderful as a guest of honor.
Men of the Milan Fashion Week
The Milan Fashion Week schedule has been quiet for a few seasons, with large labels like Gucci, Versace, and Moschino postponing their shows to CO-ED or presentations after the pandemic. The SS26 season is no different, with some buyers skipping this season to take a break between Pitti and Paris Fashion Week.
Show Schedule and New Labels
During the week, there will be 15 physical shows, 41 presentations, and 17 events. The Tentpole shows by Prada and Giorgio Armani will take place on Sunday, June 22nd, and June 23. New labels such as London Menswear Stalwart Paul Smith, Emirati Menswear label Qasimi, and Japanese label Setchu will also join the show schedule.
Presentations and New Additions
Presentations are a major draw at the MFW men, with the Chinese label Uma Wang joining the presentation plan on Friday and Bally returning on Sunday. The latter is undergoing a creative transition after the departure of creative director Simone Bellotti and is yet to appoint a successor.
