Changing Times in the Office
You want to put it on on the clock. Generation Z may be less sexually active than other age groups, but there is one thing that many of them grow fond of: office sex. Yes, it seems that those born between 1997 and 2012 do not shy away from the idea of intimacy in a conference room.
The Rise of Office Romance
With many return-to-office mandates in place across the country, especially in large cities, a new survey found that 29% of Gen Zers believe that working in an office can improve their sex life because it allows them to meet new people. However, others do not seem to want to wait to come home to satisfy their sexual needs. In fact, 38% of Gen Z would love a private space in the office to be intimate with a colleague or alone.
The Benefits of Office Intimacy
While many of these young workers are looking for ways to keep things spicy while working a mundane office job, other respondents are okay with making themselves comfortable from the comfort of their own homes. 47% of Gen Z, who work remotely, stated that they prioritize sex more because it is easier to find the time for it.
The Concept of "Sex Days"
Regardless of where people get intimate, something that many workers want is for their employers to grant them "sex days" – paid or unpaid. "Sex days" are committed free time for intimacy, health, and related needs. Researchers from an online pharmacy explained that this concept could have organizational advantages, such as increased productivity.
The Potential Benefits of Prioritizing Sex Life
A survey analyzed 800 employees and 200 managers in various age groups and found that half of the employees who had taken a "sex day" reported a noticeable increase in their productivity afterwards. The authors of the study pointed out the potential organizational advantages of introducing sexual wellness initiatives. 60% of employees feel that prioritizing their sex life could possibly reduce burnout or absenteeism.
A New Era in the Workplace
Sex capades in the office and taking days off for intimacy are just a few examples of how times are changing in America. As taboo as a day off for sexual pleasure may seem, it turns out that many employees feel that it could have a positive impact on their overall well-being and productivity.
