Introduction to In Your Dreams
This autumn is all about the books, thanks to the upcoming family adventure animation on Netflix. The movie, titled In Your Dreams, presents a music film that should fall on the streamer on Friday, November 14th. Fortunately, with all these months, the fans were given an enchanting trailer.
The Storyline
The comedy follows two delightful siblings, 12-year-old Stevie and her 8-year-old brother Elliot, as they go through an absurd world of cars and their own imagination to make their family perfect again. As announced by Netflix, it all starts when the duo discovers a magical picture book that says the Sandman can make every dream a reality. This leads them to go on a life-affirming journey into the dream area to find the mythical character. The duo longs to make their family perfect and urgently wishes that it will come true.
The Making of In Your Dreams
Film co-director Alex Woo is deeply connected to this charming story, as he said to Tudum that one of his favorite things to do as a child was to wake his brother up in the middle of the night to tell him about his "strange and crazy dreams". This contributed to his idea of In Your Dreams, whereupon he worked and said: “When I started this film, I started telling a warm story that explored the magical and often funny absurd world of dreams.”
