Introduction to the Porsche Panamera
Years in front of the Porsche 911, when they loved the bug-eyed-Porsche 911, but needed space for the family, there was no options to Porsche between 1988 and 1991, a four-door performance sedan. But it was set up before production and hoped that she faded. Then, in 2009, the first Panamera started and immediately won sports car lovers, including those with social obligations.
The Latest Generation
While it drove like a real Porsche, the 911-inspired, humped profile was shared. Fortunately, the second generation has reached the original vision with a more graceful roof line. Now the third generation is here and we have tried the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid variant, which begins with an ophthalia DH527.900.
Design & Aesthetics
This may be a brand new model, but the changes are more evolutionary than revolutionary. It refines the second generation with a sharper presence and retains the beautifully falling body and the 911-inspired roof line. The updates include Crisper Matrix-LED headlights and larger aerial photographs. On the back, the divided back lamps are replaced by a uniform light rod that reflects the current 911 with a pop-up rear spoiler. However, the chic, transformer-like three-part version is reserved for more expensive children.
In addition, the makerical quad-tailpipes and the beautiful 20-inch multi-spoke alloys that fill the arches intensively carry together to the sporty look. Despite its dimensions – 5,052 mm length and 1,937 mm width – its size is well dressed thanks to its sporting proportions.
The new Panamera is mixed in the breathtaking green Metallic Neo Paint (an option DH14.490) and connects the spirit of the 911, with which we can say, Aston Martin Elegance – a highlight for design that should strip the lustful eyes of sports cars and business people alike.
Like the Taycan, when unlocking, the air suspension of the Panamera will start the car by 55 mm for the SUV-like entry and output. Inside, it impresses with a cabin that could compete with a private jet, but in a reserved way. The earthy theme continues with a club leather-Sepress-Finish -a DH21.590 option that looks luxurious and feels. The minimalist cockpit cleverly integrates a large screens with a Porsche characteristic central console. Apart from a slightly breeding cup elder cover, the processing quality is flawless. Both the curved 12.6-inch digital cluster and the 10.9-inch center touchscreen offer colorful graphics with menus that are easy to navigate. In addition, the optional passenger display is a great “flex”, although it is so superfluous with the main screen.
Of course, the driver sits with the sporty steering wheel with three spokes, well-placed pedals and a chic tilt-head-classic Porsche precision mounted with the dashboard. It is a dedicated four-seater with two deeply strengthened rear buckets that prioritize the narrow support before the limited spread. A fifth seat is a DH3.220 option.
Drive Train & Performance
Under the bonnet there is a 2.9-liter twin turbo V6, which combines with the electric motor to create a strong output of 544 hp and 750 Nm torque, which is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed DCT. This enables the 2.2-toning panamera of 0–100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds. This is 911 fast! And with so much electricity from the tap, a brief break-in of the gas can provide rude awakening for any unsuspecting screen scrolling passengers.
When you switch to sports or sports and sharpen the steering and suspension and at the same time hand in a deeper, Kehler exhaust grade. Despite its size, the Panamera feels agile at low speeds, supported by an 11.9 meter long turning circle and a crispy 360 ° camera. In the event of speed, it dipped into corners confidently, holds its line and remains with strong power applications thanks to incredible technologies such as Heck-Axle steering and Porsche torque vectoring. And so that we do not forget the adaptive air suspension, which gives him lime-like driving qualities for the Sheikh Zayed Road, the chassis letters for corner cords on the hair pin from Jebel Jais. It is the ideal street companion in traffic or for persecution of horizons – with or without a family.
A new high-voltage battery offers 45 percent more capacity, while the 11k-kW charger in board shortens 10 to 80 percent to just two hours and 39 minutes. At this price, however, the DC charging capacity would be welcome. You can also choose in electric vehicle mode with a very practical range of 96 km.
Functions and Functionality
The boot offers practical 430 liters, which extends to 1,264 liters when the rear seats are folded. A power tailgate ensures convenience.
Even the standard bose system of 710 W 14 spokesman signals serious luxury, but our test car had the superfluous DH21,500, 1,455 W 21 speaker-burmester setup, which seriously increases the decibel. In addition to Bluetooth, you also have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone-like navigation and music functions.
The air conditioning unit is strong, but the adjustment of the air flow direction requires the implementation of menus. It also has an active carbon-free dust filter that catches particles, pollen and smells.
Verdict
With the third generation Panamera, Porsche has finally perfected the 911 silhouette in four-door form. The elegant design is obliged to turn your heads, but it is the top processing quality and the superlative performance-complete with a guttural exhaust-which worries the rivals of the Super Salon manufacturers and owners alike. Yes, it is more of a four-seater, the options are expensive and the ventilation controls are buried in the infotainment, but only a few limousines meet the overall owners’ experience. And with an improved hybrid area and emission-free EV mode, which only stores a trip to the planet.
