Introduction to the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Prize
The board of trustees of the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Prize in the service of the Arab language announced, in cooperation with the Arab Parliament, the opening of the nomination for the second meeting of the award for 2026. The award has two main branches: the branch of individuals and the institutions, which include and focus on the teaching of the Arabic language.
Purpose of the Award
The chairman of the foundation’s board of trustees, Saud Al-Babtain, said that this award embodies the constant commitment of the institution to support the Arabic language and to improve its global presence. Al-Babtain added that the institution believes the Arabic language is not just a means of communication, but rather the foundation of civilization and the memory of the nation.
Award Categories and Prizes
The awarding of the personality industry was published by the best author that was published in the area of the Arabian language to the speakers of others, with a prize of $40,000. The institutional branch has honored the best educational project that spreads the Arabic language among the speakers of others with a value of $60,000.
Candidacy Standards
The candidacy standards in the awards depend on several conditions, including:
- The obligation of the nominated work to use the eloquent Arab language
- The publication of the work nominated in paper and via an international publication number to ensure the rights to intellectual property
- The first edition of the work must have been published after June 1, 2025
The award is not awarded for a work that previously gained a similar prize in the five years before the date of the announcement of the award on June 1, 2025.
Application Process
The candidate for the award in the establishment of individuals or personalities is not one of the members of the work team or one of the employees of the institution or the nominated committee of the award in the institutional branch. The candidate is also entitled to apply for only one work to receive the award. The general secretariat receives all candidacy files for the award until December 31, 2025. Those who want to participate must submit a written request for candidacy and seven copies of the nominated work for the award, along with a memory card that is a high-quality copy of the nominated digital work with its description and mechanisms.
