The Final Destination Franchise: Where Will it Go Next?

The latest installment of the Final Destination franchise, Final Destination: Bloodlines, has just hit theaters, and horror fans are flocking to see it. With its unique concept of a faceless, omniscient presence of death, the franchise has captivated audiences for years. But where will it go next?

The Ideas are Endless

Co-helmers Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein were asked about the potential extension of the franchise, and they seemed to bet on the house always winning. Stein shared some of the ideas he’s heard from fans online, including a Final Destination set on a pirate ship in the 15th century. While this idea may seem wild, it’s fun to think about. The internet is a breeding ground for great and terrible ideas alike, but when it comes to the Final Destination fandom, it’s clear that their brains are in the right place.

Crazy Ideas from Fans

Lipovsky pointed to a Reddit idea that he found particularly intriguing – an asteroid coming to Earth, and NASA saving the planet, only to have everyone on the planet marked for death. This concept could lead to a Roland Emmerich-style movie where everyone is in danger, everywhere, at the same time. The possibilities are endless, and it’s exciting to think about where the franchise could go next.

The Staying Power of Death in the Final Destination Franchise

Long-time franchise producer Craig Perry recently shared his thoughts on how long the franchise can continue. He believes that the magic of Final Destination lies in its concept – the idea that fate or destiny plays a role in our lives. This is something that everyone can relate to, regardless of culture or country. Perry thinks that the Final Destination franchise will go on forever, whether he’s involved or not.

The Latest Installment

Final Destination: Bloodlines is now playing in theaters. The movie follows a new set of characters as they try to cheat death. With its unique death sequences and mind-bending plot twists, it’s a must-see for fans of the franchise.

The Final Destination franchise has come a long way since its first installment, and it’s clear that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. With its unique concept and endless possibilities, it will continue to captivate audiences for years to come.
