Additional Costs and New Developments

Additional Costs

Ryanair tickets often appear very cheap at first, but their prices can considerably increase due to additional costs. These include fees for hand luggage, which can range from 20 to 60 euros, and checked luggage, which can cost between 10 to 60 euros. Furthermore, passengers are charged 13 euros for every additional kilo of luggage. The selection of a seat also incurs a fee, ranging from 11 to 33 euros. Additionally, a surcharge of 25 euros is applied for children under the age of two.

Subscription Model

Ryanair has introduced a subscription model, known as Ryanair Prime, alongside the new rules. This model offers frequent travelers discounts on flights and extras for an annual fee of 79 euros. However, it’s important to note that this subscription does not exempt members from the new fines.

New Developments

A significant future change is being considered by Ryanair’s CEO. Due to potential price increases for Boeing aircraft resulting from US import duties, the company is contemplating the purchase of Chinese devices. This move could make Ryanair the first major European airline to incorporate Chinese aircraft into its fleet.
