Introduction to a New Era
After Jean Paul Gaultier withdrawn from the runway in 2020, his name serena house in Puig introduced a rotating designer model in which a guest talent created every couture collection. Chitose Abe, Glenn Martens, Olivier Rusteins, Haider Ackermann, Julien Dossa, Simone Rocha, Nicolas di Felice and Ludovic de Saint Sernin each recorded.
A Change in Strategy
Now the brand is changing the strategy: it has headed Duran Lantink as Creative Director for Couture and Ready-to-Wear and ended the rotating model.
Vision and Inspiration
“I see the energy, boldness and the playful spirit through fashion that I had at the beginning of my own journey: the new one enfant terrible The fashion, ”said Gaultier in an explanation. "I consider Jean Paul Gaultier as a genius and part of a generation that has put down the doors so that people like us go through them and who we can be without excuse," said Lantink.
The Role of the Creative Director
The role of the creative director is a real honor. For Lantink, Gaultier is the ultimate house of the creative spirit and specialist knowledge. It is provocative and constantly crossing limits. It is the brand that brings together different disciplines in fashion to create cultural movements, to change the language of clothing and how we wear it on the street.
About Duran Lantink
It is assumed that Lantink will bring his own brand into a break with both ready-to-wear and couture collections under his area of responsibility. The Dutch designer, born in 1988, founded his Womenswear, men’s fashion and genderless label and created upcycled clothing and accessories in 2016.

The Future of Fashion
"I think more than ever now, it is important to be a little more radical. Because if we are not radical, what do we do?" He said during his acceptance speech. With Lantink at the helm, the future of Jean Paul Gaultier is looking bold and exciting.
