Carolina Herrera’s Upcoming Show in Madrid
The traveling shows have become the norm for the big European labels. Now, Carolina Herrera’s Wes Gordon takes over politics for his high season and takes over his collection to Spain in spring 2026.
Inspiration from Madrid
Madrid has always been one of Gordon’s favorite cities in the world. Whenever he visits Madrid, he gets a complete charge of inspiration.
Previous Shows
It is not the first time that Gordon has taken the show on the road. He presented his resort 2024 collection in Rio de Janeiro and Resort 2025 in Mexico City. For the latter, he worked with a group of local craftsmen who injected the collection with traditional craft, from embroidery to special ceramics.
Connection with Madrid
Gordon and Carolina Herrera have a history with Madrid. In 2023, the brand was a sponsor for the Women Masters Show in the city’s Thyssen Museum, which showcased the work of artists such as Artemisia Gentileschi, Mary Cassatt, and Sonia Delaunay. Gordon was also involved in the Fashion España’s Fashion Fund program.
Taking Risks and Trying New Things
Although the brand promises to return to the New York calendar in 2026, the move comes at an exciting time for the company, whose Good Girl scent is now the best-selling women’s scent in the world. At Herrera, they always want to forge their own path. If you do things the same and don’t take any risks, you know you’re standing still.
The Appeal of Madrid
Madrid is a city that is shaped by history but has never stayed in it. There is an attraction in the way the past works with the present. Bringing Carolina Herrera to Madrid is less like a decision and more like a conversation between the two.
