Magnify has acquired international rights to Pete Ohs’ latest film, "The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Check Mark", a genre-bending thriller that premiered at SXSW. The film stars Zo\u00eb Chao, whose credits include "Bubble & Squeak", as a young woman whose idyllic rural escape turns into a nightmare after a tick bite triggers a series of unsettling transformations.<\/p>\n
The film boasts a talented cast, including Callie Hernandez ("Jethica", "La La Land"), Jeremy O. Harris ("The Sweet East"), and James Cusati-Moyer ("Maestro"). The script was written by Oh, Hernandez, Harris, Chao, and Cusati-Moyer, with Ohs, Hernandez, Harris, and Josh Godfrey ("Caddo Lake") serving as producers. CAA Media represents the US rights.<\/p>\n
